The movie Passion of the Christ is so intense, so powerful, and so overwhelming, that it simply must be experienced. This film may be resonaten as controversial, as many do not rig in the crucifixion, however, theres a powerful level shown through the movie. Jim Caviezel does a tremendous job portraying the passionately gruesome role of deliveryman Christ. Mel Gibson also does a lovely job producing and directing. This film is a depiction of the last 12 hours of the life of saviour of Nazareth, on the day of his crucifixion in Jerusalem. The story opens in the Garden of Olives where Jesus has gone to have a bun in the oven after the Last Supper. Betrayed by Judas Iscariot, the controversial Jesus--who has performed miracles and has publicly entitle that he is the Son of God--is arrested and taken back within the metropolis walls of Jerusalem. There, the leaders of the Phari minds confront him with accusations of blasphemy; subsequently, his trial results with the leaders break him to his death. Jesus is brought earlier Pontius Pilate, the roman Governor of Palestine, for his sentencing. Pilate listens to the accusations leveled at Jesus by the Phari jar againsts.

Realizing that his own decision will cause him to acquire embroiled in a political conflict, Pilate defers to King Herod in deciding the matter of how to persecute Jesus.
